Or in the theme of this blog, I will call it “Pie”atus. I don’t know what it is, but I figure it is expected for anyone with a blog to find themselves not posting for an extended period of time. Which of course will be followed by the statement “So…Finally I posted something, hope you guys enjoy!” Well folks, I am not saying that, though maybe… I just did by means of a rather secretive and disguised method I was taught in my studies in Cognitive Psychology. So yeah, I’m back, and a month alone on an island in Maine gave me a plethora of oh so interesting tales of imagination and wonder. Day Three: Road Trip

Totally had zero time to write up day three yesterday; however, I will do so now. Alright so we wake up in the lovely Duncan Mills, no hangover plagues me, as I decided to go to bed prior to my third beer, i am an insane party animal. After this summer I have an extreme distaste for hangovers, especially when they occur in the worst situations ever, aka. a professional paintball course in 100 degree weather, or driving to the airport at 9 in the morning, or even hiking the beautiful Catalina Island. Therefore I am on a drinking hiatus. Back to the trip, we decided to grab breakfast at a great little diner in the town of Guerneville, home of some awesome Redwoods and a great mountain road, on which we drove very slowly, sitting out the windows leaning on the roof of our car…awesome. So we did that, then decided to drive to napa. Now it was cool to see all the winereez, but I have seen enough glitz and the like in LA to satisfy me for the rest of my life. In short, Napa was too nice, i needed some serious grime. I was less than impressed. Following this, we began our 10 hr drive home, after a delicious meal at In and Out burger: aka a meal within my budget (note: my bank account is at -140 at this point). Basically we drove through the night on a few of the scariest roads of all time, listened to an hour and a half of The Beatles, and had a splendid trip home. Then it was back to LA for one more day, and finally I am home to blandness again, and I am so happy about it.

Day Two: Road Trip

After falling asleep to the second episode of entourage, I woke up in the dreary, rainy, foggy and of course freezing town of Monterey Bay with no complaints. After being in the cloudless, rainless town of Santa Monica, it was nice to have some blaahh weather for a change. We begin driving once again, deciding to head north through San Francisco, traveling only on the PCH, despite a small detour which would take us over the San Francisco bridge. On the road prior to crossing the bridge we decided to find some crappy dive restaurant, convinced the food would be authentic and all the more enjoyable, and folks we were correct. We all were in the mood for fish and chips, and Ketch Joanne was exactly what we were looking for, it was dimly lit, unhealthy and extremely satisfying. Rock cod is an amazing fish. We continued on our way, whilst looking for a fed-ex/kinkos, for Peter to print out his lines for an audition that would prove to cut the trip short. We continued up the coast, stopping at any overpass/overlook that looked remotely gorgeous and extraordinary. California proved to be reminiscent of a single diverse country, we passed through meadows, cliffsides, mountains, hills, deserts, flat ground and anything else you can imagine, the state is growing on me. Prior to turning inland to head towards Napa, we stopped at The Sedona State Park Beach, which I must say was literally the most beautiful place I have ever seen in my entire life, and I’ve seen some shit. I have a few awesome sunsetted panoramas which I will surely post upon editing. We then headed east towards Sedona and stopped in a little town called Duncan Mills. We had phenomenal Salmon, as that is their specialty and a vintage bottle of Coppola, prior to heading to our insane campsite on the river bed of the Russian River( We tried avoiding the fancy restaurant, but unfortunately the pub bar closes at 9:30 and they were only serving Chili that night, not to mention they only had enough chili for two bowls, and our group consisted of a whopping three humans). After dinner we got back to the campsite, settled into the star lit sky, enjoyed the campfire and caught up on some much needed R & R, for tomorrow we would take on Sedona, Napa and the Desert.

Again..nooks are awesome. Also while double checking that I was spelling nooks correctly, I discovered a knook is a type of immortal being or fairy. Knooks are the guardians over the animals, though later minor references have placed them in charge of trees, presumably due to their crooked appearance.
